Optical Imaging System
Laboratory
The research of the Optical Imaging System Lab is focused on the intersection between photonics and computing. We developing optical platforms for photonic information processing and imaging. We are also interested in modeling of optical system and solving design problems in optics and photonics. We open source Photonic FDFD Toolbox, based on the solvers our group developed.
Research topics include computational imaging system and photonic information processing system for industrial, biomedical sensing and imaging in visible, infrared, and X-ray regimes. We combine physics modeling and machine learning tools to solve optimization problems in photonics. We are passionate about education in optical imaging and optics in general. Please check out our MATLAB courseware on Optical System Modeling.
Optical Imaging System Lab@CREOL is looking for talented graduate students and postdoctoral scientists to join the group. Students and postdoctoral scientists with background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics are welcome to contact Prof. Pang.
