Dr. Zheyuan Zhu’s research interests include designing, modeling, and prototyping novel image/signal acquisition and processing platforms with superior performance on resolution, contrast, sensitivity, speed etc., using minimal system resources. He is a recipient of CREOL Student of the Year finalist (2019), College of Graduate Studies Doctorial Research Support Award (2017), and various graduate travel fellowships for conference presentations.
My personal interest lies in the broad definition of “maker”, a person involved in community learning and creativity through hands-on projects. Electronics, microprocessors, and photography are my primary area of interest. My works have been on regular display at various maker venues, including Maker Faire Orlando, Orlando Science Center, Orange County Don’t Pitch It Fix It workshops, as well as CREOL Optics Day and STEM Day outreach events.
